This semester SGA has met 12 times. In this time, the body has passed 12 proposals totaling at $12,080 which includes donating money to United Way, purchasing a stereo for Striplin, WILD's Women's History Month, extending library hours during exams, funding the Bunting Center's Food Day, funding the Tunnel of Oppression, providing funding to the Film Club in order to film the Tunnel of Oppression, funding a Holocaust speaker, providing additional funding for the Bunting Center's Alternate Spring Break, funding a lock for the Commuter Lounge, funding for a martial arts instructor, and funding for Mamma's Home Cooking. SGA provided 8 tickets per performance for both of BSC theater’s fall productions. Also, SGA provided two tickets to two different off Broadway performances at the BJCC. Other events that SGA has hosted are: the Welcome Back Diner, three Ask SGA days, two elections, two Publications Board meetings, one Spirit Day, Faculty Appreciation Day, Kan Krulack's can food drive. SGA members have also served the community though helping fund and participating in Halloween on the Hilltop and serving at Habitat for Humanity and First Light Women's Shelter. |
